Do you hire your equipment without a DJ? No, we don't hire out our Disco/Karaoke Equipment without a DJ,
Can Karaoke be interchanged between systems? No, as generally all systems are being run at the same time,
Why do you require a deposit and why is it non refundable? In the past we have taken bookings, where the hirer has subsequently called to cancel the booking. To compound this we have turned away other business to honour the hirers booking, once a booking is cancelled there is generally no possibility of rebooking the date. In the end we made a business decision to take a non-refundable deposit to confirm a booking. This commits you to us and us to you; in comparison what commitment do you have where you have not made a deposit? Don't you want piece of mind that the DJ is really going to show up? We have also provided DJs to people when their DJ failed to appear! This makes you wonder what commitment you get without a deposit!
Can you accept credit cards? Yes, however we can only accept payments by Credit Card via the internet. We have investigated the other options and unfortunately the cost of providing this service cannot be justified, we are sorry if this causes any inconvenience. You can also make electronic payments if you have access to electronic banking Further details are available on the "Booking Costs" page.
Prices listed exclude Christmas Day, New Year Eve & the Easter long weekends please call for full details,
Where did the laser disks go? We have updated the systems as the LD format has been replaced with DVD's, VCD's & CDG's, also you can no longer purchase the disks.
Why is there a travel cost after 60 minutes? - simple additional time and costs involved, also the same as setting up more than 1 hour before the gig, with the cost of fuel it's not unusual for us to spend $30.00 to $50.00 or more just to get to your function!
I have received other quotes and they include all lighting and smoke machines with their quote, why don't you? This is a very common question - the reason we exclude extra lighting and smoke machines is to be able to provide you with a cheaper initial quote. Nearly everyone asks how much in the first instance, we are rarely asked what do I get for my dollar. For a disco package our competitors will quote a starting price of $500 or $600 for their hire, as opposed to our quote for a basic hire package. We also provide top quality DJs and high end power so while you may not get that extra light you are getting a great DJ and extra sound! So when you weigh it up are you really getting anything for free? Or are your more likely just paying for additional equipment you don't necessarily want or need in an trumped up package?
I've noticed some of the DJs are using laptops is this legal?
Yes it is, as our music is purchased in MP3 format for laptop use. In addition we have the approached AMCOS and other Record Companies to obtained approval to format shift the music.
In my opinion most mobile music providers will eventually go digital simply due to the weight and size required to carry cases of CDs or music players around.
Why did we go to all the bother of a detailed conditions of hire? We are a business, the same as any other business, unfortunately in past hires we have either not been paid or had to wait for months to be paid, obviously we cannot afford to be placed into this situation. Therefore we prefer to be honest and upfront with nothing hidden about your hire, that way there are no surprises later and we all get off on the right foot, just because other providers don't appear to list a conditions of hire doesn't mean they don't have one. In the unfortunate event of an accident occuring you can be assured they will role out their conditions of hire.
